A Thief of Void, unfortunately, might not be able to pull the same trick. She’s literally ‘sucking out’ the nothingness from them. This is why Roxy can summon items from nothing. A Rogue, as ‘who enables theft of their Aspect’, ‘sucks out’ this Aspect for others to use. A Thief, as ‘one who steals their Aspect’, ‘sucks in’ this Aspect for their own use. I’ve recently described it as ‘sucking out’ Void. While Roxy ‘distributes’ Void around her, but leaves herself with Light in the process. Vriska steals Light, leaving those around her with Void. I’m going to put up the pictures from that post: They do essentially the ‘opposite’ thing, yet achieve the same result. Okay, remember how I just mentioned Roxy and Vriska were ‘outside’ the respective spirals above?.Īs I mentioned in another post, their respective classpects, Rogue of Void and Thief of Light, could be consider ‘different yet similar’. I’ve just talked about John and Vriska, and I’m going to talk about them more before this post is done. Vriska’s blood hue is 134 in MSPaint, despite that the obvious spot to put her would be 140 (Kanaya’s being 100, Terezi 120, Equius 160, Gamzee 180, et cetera). Here’s a fun fact, to quote the MSPA wiki: Said ascension was facilitated by Vriska, a blue blood. Like in these:Īs mentioned by that MSPA forum poster, John’s ‘theme color’ was green until his ascension to God Tier, at which point it become blue. John’s Breath abilities have been associated with spirals in general. Remember who was at the center of the green spiral? Notice how the ‘spiral’ in Calliope’s picture has both white and green!? Calliope has already been associated with the white spiral. There’s a couple other things I want to point out: There’s also Roxy and Vriska ‘outside’ the spirals, but I’ll get back to them in a moment. What was part of John’s quest? Freeing the fireflies:Ĭalliope might be part of that, with John freeing her from her own ‘cloud’ of self-doubt.īut there’s one callback that’s worth mentioning:Ĭalliope is at the center of one spiral, while John is at the center of the other. Spirit is closely tied to ‘inspiration’, which also ties back to John.Ĭalliope has been equated to a firefly, such as during this sequence with Roxy: Calliope was even the name of a Muse from Greek mythology. The muses in mythology were goddesses of inspiration. For starters, to quote someone from the MSPA forums:īut seriously, John is obviously the disciple of the Cheerful Lime Green Ghost, seeing as how he’s kept her on his shirt until he reached God Tier.Ĭalliope’s class is a Muse. There are some notable connections between John and Calliope. Is that quote going to retshadow John’s intervention between Calliope and Caliborn? Is he going to be the wind that extinguishes Caliborn’s ‘candle’ while fanning Calliope’s ‘fire’? And Caliborn’s ‘absence’ would…well, see the quote for the impact on Calliope. John is notably associated with this quote:Ĭould this be retshadowing? Caliborn (and in extension Lord English) has frequently been called ‘childish’, or similar terms:īasically, Caliborn is pretty, childish, ‘small.’ Imagine what would happen to Calliope if she had the memories of her other, braver self. If my ‘ On Doomed Timeline Selves’ theory is right, John would not only be responsible for the ‘stronger’ version of Calliope, but he would fuse the memories of that Calliope with the present one. John can intervene with the present Calliope as well, who is almost certain to play a huge role in the endgame. It doesn’t just have to be the past though. What would this do to the timeline? Who knows, we’d just have to wait and see. Who better to help her then a ‘Fixer of Spirit?’ With John firmly established as disliking Caliborn, he might view helping his sister predominate as a good way of getting back at the cherub. I define Heir of Beath as a passive ‘Fixer of Spirit’, one who enables Spirit to be fixed, or enables fixing using Spirit. She describes this ‘doomed timeline version’ of herself as someone ‘spiritually stronger’. Guess who’s a living ‘glitch in casualty’ right now? Even better: Remember how Calliope described her ‘doomed timeline’ self?:īut there’s something about that. Namely, John is likely responsible for the existence of Calliope’s ‘doomed timeline’ self. It seems to be painting a picture of the four of them playing a huge role together in the endgame, but I can’t say anything definitive, aside from a theory about John and Calliope. There are lots of interesting connections between these four characters, besides the obvious. So, I’m just presenting what I’ve found here for perusal. It’s like a bunch of puzzle pieces lying around, but I can’t put them together to form the picture. Every time I try to write this, I end up finding more stuff.
